Piment d'Ville is grown from the seeds of Piment d'Espelette, a chile pepper hailing from the Basque region in France. While it generalIy has a mild heat, they take the first chiles they harvest (which are spicier!) and use them to make Spicy Piment d'Ville. It's heat is less spicy than cayenne but hotter than paprika. Use it liberally and often!

Best Uses: Use to rim a margarita glass, use instead of cayenne, sprinkle on fresh watermelon.
